Last week WMA conducted a wildfire mitigation assessment with a resident who lives in the evacuation zone of the Point Fire. Fortunately, the family was connected to the local COPE group (Citizens Organized Prepared for Emergencies) and used the Watch Duty app to track the event and evacuate early. Guidance was given on defensible space and structure hardening priorities.
