On March 27, 2025 I had the pleasure of presenting at the 2025 Sustainable Enterprise Conference at SOMO Village in Rohnert Park. My presentation titled "Adapting to Wildfire: Control What You Can Control" covered many important topics, including the devastating L.A. Palisades and Eaton Fires, how fire weather and human mistakes contributed, and how we can transfer those lessons to fire prone properties in the North Bay. I discussed Climate Change as well as how wildfire smoke from urban conflagrations impacts our water, air, soil, and health. Some topics were difficult to digest but were important to hear because they apply to our region and demonstrate how important it is to take wildfire seriously. I thank Sustainable Enterprise Conference for the opportunity.
